One Book One Littleton is an annual community-wide reading event. Each year, the Bemis Public Library selects a title and author, and encourages all members of the community to read the same book. The library provides opportunities to discuss the book, and engage with the topics it raises through programming and an author keynote.

In 2025, Littleton residents and library patrons are invited to read Little Britches: Father and I Were Ranchers by Ralph Moody.

Little Britches is an engaging read for the whole family. The book is an autobiographical account of Ralph Moody's early life near Littleton, Colorado in the early 1900s.

Throughout the month of March, the library will offer a variety of programs for all ages inspired by the book and its themes, including creative, informative and fun activities.

Visit the library to borrow a copy of the book and discover more about this piece of Littleton lore.

The Bemis Library gallery will feature a special exhibit from the Littleton Museum throughout the month of March.

Explore Ralph Moody's Colorado Journey through maps, images and stories.
